Kettering Based Voice and Arts Centre Continue Celebrating

Beccy Hurrell Voice & Arts were celebrating again last night at the Annual Northamptonshire Business Awards.

The success continued following the creative arts centre being named as The Community Business of the Year at last month’s Kettering Business Awards as Directors Beccy Hurrell and Lindsey Atkins continue to make the arts accessible for all, empower people, develop artistry and use them to break down barriers to learning, work and society.

Based in The Yards in Kettering Town Centre, both Beccy and Lindsey received the President’s Awards from the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce President Robyn Allen at last night’s event which took place at The Park Inn, Northampton and is to recognise an individual, or in this case, two individuals in the County that has done something exemplary in the last 12 months.

The award celebrates everything wonderful about Northamptonshire’s business community and the people in it by singling out a worthy winner who has demonstrated actions that go above and beyond, whether that be supporting a business, charity or individual or showing great resilience and courage in the face of adversity.

Beccy says ‘We were absolutely shocked and thrilled to have received the inaugural president’s award. To be recognised for what we do for individuals within the community using the arts to break barriers and empower is the icing on top of the cake. I’m so proud to be able to do this with an incredible friend and business partner who is an amazing, inspirational human being. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and been part of the journey we have been on.”

Lindsey says ‘Both Beccy and myself have been on huge personal journeys to get to where we are today. With  amazing people around us, always supporting and believing in what we are passionate about and helping to champion our cause. It was overwhelming to receive  the President’s Award in a room filled with so many inspirational people and it was a real celebration for ourselves of how much we have both grown together. Thank you to the President Robyn Allen and all at Northamptonshire Chamber of commerce for supporting us and championing what we are passionate about.”
