Kettering Arts Centre at St. Andrew’s Church.
Founded in 2010 Kettering Arts Centre is dedicated to staging a wide range of events for the local community.
A typical season’s programme will feature music, theatre and comedy acts, the latter either as a complete concert or within the monthly Rolling in the Aisles comedy club nights. The centre has attracted many familiar faces from television as well as the comedy circuit such as Romesh Ranganathan, Sean Hughes, Jack Dee and Jeremy Hardy.
On the music front there have been events to suit all tastes from folk and blues to jazz and classical concerts. Past performers have included folk legends Fairport Convention, Kettering born trombonist and jazz impresario Dave Keech and the GUS band.
Throw in a sprinkling of theatre or theatrical shenanigans from touring concert parties and you have a measure of what Kettering Arts Centre has to offer.
Situated with the working church itself the excellent acoustics complement performances of any genre and in house facilities include a real ale bar and a guaranteed warm welcome from the members of the team.
The private car park to the rear of the building, via Crown Street, offers is recommended for disabled visitors to the centre which is fully accessible to disabled users.

Many towns have Arts Centres, usually run by a management group and a team of volunteers to put on events that enrich the cultural life of their town. We felt it was time that Kettering had one too, and rather than wait until someone else did something about it, we have decided to make things happen. Many Arts Centres are housed in disused churches. We have a church building that is home to several thriving congregations, but which is still empty for most of the week. So at a time when public, private and charitable funds are severely restricted we thought rather than buy or build a performance space, why not use our beautiful, historic, but flexible, town centre building.
All performances take place in the actual church building and access is through the main glass door with the Arts Centre logo on it. There is a public car park in front and our own church car park behind (accessed via Crown Street). Where appropriate we have a licensed bar, located at the back of the performance space, at other times we sell other refreshments, all at reasonable prices. Where possible we use the local Potbelly beer and biogegradeable “plastic” glasses.
We will be putting on a programme of quality acts. We will aim to book acts that we have seen personally, that we can wholeheartedly recommend. Acts that will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. And we will aim to price competitively: you will find many of the acts we put on are performing in Arts Centres in other towns with significantly higher ticket prices.
So come along and enjoy yourself, let’s make this work together.
